Vacation Rental Prohibition

Tourist Rental.

As per the law, holiday rental activity is now considered, to all intents and purposes, as a

commercial activity, which is expressly prohibited by the statutes of our community.

Currently, we are aware of several flats in the Community that have holiday rental licences.

Ignoring this situation is not a viable option.

As per the latest AGM (October 2024) the following was decided:

1. Revoke authorisations for holiday rentals in the community.
2. Authorise the Administrator to negotiate an appropriate transition period with the affected owners, allowing them a reasonable time to adapt to the new regulations and to deregister these licences.
3. Authorise the President of the Community to take legal action, if necessary, to ensure compliance with the statutes.

As a consequence, no holiday rental is allowed at Altos.
